Is the hostel safe for 1st year students or rent house is more safe,in the NEW NITs? Is the ragging in the new will be same as old ones?

Ragging has reduced drastically in all colleges. As far as new NITs are concerned, ragging there wont be much different than older NITs.
But don't worry, government has made stringent laws against ragging and has put a check over ragging.
