You dont have any chance of getting nit and iiit's.But you can get two central funded universities and self financed institutions in your spot round.Any way if u have state quota then u may have a chance. Private institutions I mean self financed institutions charge a lot of fees on students.Even I prefer to go to private institutions.They also give better oppurtunities.All the best.

that means the OVERALL rank is taken in to account ,, not the Category rank ?
because i noticed that cutoff for OBC candidates in 3-4th round for some NITs was around 17,000

All the ranks mention are All India Ranks...but if you wait till spot round; you might get into some NIT
